Virtual presentation instructions are now available!
Authors of articles recently published in the IEEE Transactions on Haptics (ToH) are invited to present their work in an interactive poster session during the IEEE World Haptics Conference 2021. This is a great opportunity for journal authors to engage with other scientists and reach a larger audience!
Participation Criteria

▪ Short papers that were jointly published in the IEEE Transactions on Haptics (Volume 13, issue 1) and presented at the 2020 IEEE Haptics Symposium are not eligible to participate in this interactive poster session.
▪ At least one of the article’s authors must register for the conference.

Virtual Presentation Instructions
Upload Deadline: June 25, 2021
Your ToH Interactive Poster will be presented during an Interactive Session in which you will be able to discuss your work with attendees in your personal videoconferencing room. Your pre-recorded video presentation will be available on-demand for attendees.
To get ready for your virtual presentation, we ask that you prepare the following materials and upload them to the virtual conference platform (X-CD):
▪ A pre-recorded video presentation (MP4): Your video presentation must be prepared following these guidelines, and therefore include both a voice over and captions. Please present your work as you would at an in-person conference with a full-screen screencast of your slides and a picture-in-picture video of yourself. Your video presentation must not exceed 3 minute. To upload your pre-recorded video presentation to X-CD, use the “Record/Upload Presentation” feature as described in the upload instructions.
▪ Supporting content (PDF): Please prepare supporting content to assist discussions during your Interactive Session. This could, for example, be a set of slides or a video that you will screen-share during your videoconference to explain your work. This content will also be made available on-demand. To upload your supporting content on X-CD, use the “Additional Presentation Files” feature as described in the upload instructions.
▪ Poster (PDF): Please prepare a visual document that will be shown in the Poster Hall of X-CD. This visual document can be a traditional poster or any other content that can represent your work visually, such a slide or set of slides, a picture, your supporting content, or your manuscript. This document must be in PDF format. We recommend using the title slide of your presentation video. If this document is missing, your ToH Poster will not be shown in the Poster Hall. To upload your Poster on X-CD, use the “Poster Upload” feature as described in the upload instructions.
▪ ToH Paper manuscript (PDF): Please download a copy of your manuscript from PaperPlaza and upload it to X-CD. Note that your manuscript has been updated by the conference organizer and will therefore differ from your own copy of the manuscript. To upload your manuscript, use the “Manuscript File” feature as described in the upload instructions.
NOTE: If your submitted manuscript on PaperPlaza included a video file, a YouTube link will be added to your presentation card on X-CD by the conference organizers.
Please see our resources page for the conference logo and zoom backgrounds that can be used for your materials and your presentations.
Please have all required materials, including your pre-recorded video presentation, uploaded to the virtual conference platform by June 25, 2021.
Note that only one author can act as presenter, upload content to the virtual platform and participate in the Interactive Session. The presenter must be a registered attendee of the conference. The presenter will be assumed to be the corresponding author for the submission, as indicated on PaperPlaza. If you would like a different author to be the presenter, please fill out this form before June 10, 2021.
For any questions, please contact either the Posters Chair at posters@2021.worldhaptics.org or the Virtual Arrangement Chairs at virtual@2021.worldhaptics.org.
